Aggressive Early Childhood Education Initiatives
One of the remedies to school district efficiency is our ability to create early childhood education initiatives, programs, collaborations and opportunities. The Superintendent recently stated that the district only reaches "20-25% of this community's Pre-K age kids".
We need to start investing and creating the students, we want to succeed in our school system. Imagine if seventy-five percent (75%) of kindergartners were enrolled in effective, quality, public education Pre-K programs. Studies show that reading, proficiency test and graduation rates would increase exponentially. Jail cells and criminal justice initiatives would decrease. We could create an awesome feeder system to ourselves.
There is a need to put more funding, research and energy in Early Childhood Education programs, partnerships and opportunities.
