Dedicated, Fierce Advocate

Mr. Bivins started this chant and 200+ students loudly repeated,
"Delta and Deal..., Please don't Steal.... 18 mil. (million).... from our Baabbiieess!!!!!"

Students thought it was fun but Mr. Bivins was dead serious!
He is unapologetically a fighter for education and children. Early in 2018, the school district and county advocacy was needed as the school district protested over a 20% budget loss from the State of Ga. and Delta Airlines.

He felt the need to step up and fight for the children on the steps of Delta Airlines and the state capitol. Eighteen (18) million dollars was proposed to be taken away from Clayton County school and government.. Because of advocacy, good leadership and a chant he created that caught national and state media attention a compromise was made.
He was glad to be a part of that process and looks forward to even more.

PROVEN, PRODUCTIVE, AND EXPERIENCED...

Throughout his entire life, Charlton Bivins has proven to be a passionate and effective advocate for children, family values, education and effective government. His calling to public service as a law enforcer comes from having  a "servant’s heart".

He was later inspired by his first-hand observation of the effects of the school system’s loss of accreditation on families and the domino effect it had on the communities and local economy in Clayton County.

    Ethical, Energized, Collaborator......

During his seven (7) year tenure on the Clayton Co. Board of Education, Charlton led the fight to gain community/parental support in district decisions, fiscal responsibility and meticulous oversight. He garnered the reputation of advocating for the involvement and collaboration with local government in the “big picture “of school legislation. He singly kept abreast of city and county government decisions and became a quasi-ambassador for the Board of Education.  As your next representative, he believes in citizens choosing the right representative to bring changes to the school district and Clayton county as a whole.
